Barbastro Fair

Since eight centuries, Barbastro has been the site of markets and fairs that continue to be held still today. The natural way towards mountain valleys, where traditionally people were coming to Barbastro to trade, as well as the proximity of Catalonia, France and the Ebro Valley, make the city a strategic point at a commercial level.

This market route towards the town, as well as the importance of the markets for its socioeconomic development, have always made Barbastro a town of trade and fairs.

The fairs of Barbastro have a great prestige and recognition, which place them at the head of the sector in Aragon.

The Municipality of Barbastro has always been committed to the organization of trade fairs in the town. Since the establishment of the Fair Institution as the managing entity, the trade fair activity has been incorporated as a service of the Municipality.
