Calatayud Fair

Calatayud expands over 154.2 km2 and is located at an altitude of 536 metres at the confluence of the Jalón and Jiloca rivers. It is the fourth city in Aragon in number of inhabitants, as with its 20,173 inhabitants according to Municipal Register 2017, it is only surpassed by the three provincial capitals: Zaragoza, Huesca and Teruel.

The location of the Calatayud municipality is harmonized with a good communication system, both by road and by rail, especially with the High Speed train available since 2003 and a complete hotel and hospitality infrastructure. Located 86 kilometres from Zaragoza, the city of Calatayud is a point of convergence of the main centres of the northeast of the Iberian Peninsula. Calatayud thus has a privileged strategic and logistical position, being a hub between the cities of Madrid (236 km), Valencia (279 km), Bilbao (334 km) and Barcelona (386 km).

Calatayud is also the capital of the region that bears its name: Community of Calatayud. This territory is constituted by a set of 67 municipalities with a total population of 37,700 inhabitants in 2017. For the residents of the region, Calatayud is a nearby economic centre as well as access to different public institutions of a provincial, regional or state level.

There are two pavilions, one of them is a permanent structure, another semi-permanent. Pavilion A is a building with bright space of approximately 1,250 mm2 and Pavilion B, a fixed sheet metal tent is of approximately 1,000 mm2.

The permanent pavilion is a magnificent facility to house large conventions and congresses, equipped with technical means and air conditioning.
